Highly recommended! I fell and my hamstring muscle tore away with a piece of bone attached. He could see I was upset about the news that I needed surgery. Dr. Burnham took his time explaining why I needed the surgery, answered my question and NEVER seemed rushed even though he had other patients. He explained that it would be a painful recovery but I had NO PAIN! I think it’s because of his care during surgery. He’s an excellent and compassionate doctor!

My daughter hurt her knee playing soccer...Ultimately, the outcome of her simple twisted knee was a torn ACL and torn meniscus requiring surgery. Dr. Jeremy Burnham is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship-trained in sports medicine. He specializes in the surgical treatment of complex knee injuries and his clinical and research focus centers around the diagnosis and treatment of ACL injuries, meniscus tears, cartilage restoration, and knee instability.
Dr. Burnham is the team physician for Southern University, the Baton Rouge Rougarou, and several area high schools. He is the site investigator for NIH and DoD-funded research studies examining the best treatment techniques for knee injuries. In addition to knee injuries he treats sports shoulder and hip injuries such as SLAP tears and labral tears.
